So How DO you Promote Affiliate Programs?

Here's the basic "recipe."

The very first thing you must do is choose a subject you enjoy to build your website about. Yes - you must have a website! You want it to be about something you know something about and that you like because you're going to be spending a lot of time working on it.

Find your niche. Keep the subject of your website as narrow as possible. You want to be able to "target" your website to a specific audience: one that is looking for what you have to offer.

Now join the affiliate programs that are tailored to that subject and your target audience. Only then will you build your website to "Sell" to that specific audience. Your website should have information that readers will want to come back to see, again and again. Continue adding pages and articles on a regular basis to keep them coming back for more.

Provide free eCourses and free reports. Keep educating your visitors.

You need to publish a newsletter. Your list is your bread and butter. You hear all over the 'Net that the "money is in the list." Too true! Read this article to get a better perspective.

NOW You Advertise!

Advertising your website is a big deal! You must advertise, promote, market! Whatever you call it, you have to do it. If no one knows your site is there, how can you sell anything? Submit to the search engines, place ads in ezines, and post classified ads. And speaking of promotion, please don't have flashing banners on every square inch of your website. One smaller, tasteful (clickable) graphic will do the trick.

Don't Forget to submit your website URL to the search engines. You'll find a quick list of the best HERE. You CAN use a submission service to quickly add your site. However, they don't always work correctly. "Hand" submit it yourself for best results.

Have a sig file (signature file) that goes out on every email you send! You can have a sig file for each program you're promoting and choose the one that most fits the email you're sending. Or just have one for your own website that promotes your affiliate programs.

By the way. DON'T SPAM! Period. It doesn't work and will cause you no end of trouble. If you don't know what spam is - it's sending out unsolicited emails to unknown people. Please, don't do it!
